Yup, and that doula ended up in hot water not because she was making a biological observation, but because she was being deliberately provocative and exclusionary. She intended to communicate a statement that denies the trans experience.

There’s nothing complicated about being nice to people. If she doesn’t understand trans men, fine. She doesn’t have to. But that doesn’t give her the right to leverage her public position to deny the lived experiences of trans men. What purpose is served by that?

She was just being disrespectful and mean.

And that’s not very hard to understand either.
