Yup, and she never did change her mind. She got her “lifelong dream” of singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and uttered not one word in opposition to the LDS Church’s vicious homophobia and transphobia. Some had speculated she would use her performance to make a statement of support for queer people, but she did no such thing.

And of course, LDS anti-queer doctrine is as horrifying as ever.

These days, when I run across any performance art by her, I mutter a quiet, “fuck you” under my breath and move on to art made by a more moral, loving person.
