You're being a lot more patient than I would be! The guy is obviously not interested in discourse or conversation. He's an absolutist, and he's not going to change his mind. For him, owning an assault rifle is something like a religious rite. You can't reason somebody out of something they didn't raise in themselves into. Really, he's kind of an illustration of why we're having the problem in the first place. Sigh.
