You vacationed essentially where I live, except I live in Michigan not Pennsylvania. People come up here from lower Michigan to commune with nature and enjoy cabins in the wetlands. Those of us who live up here year-round are conservative Republicans, except for me. Lol! (Oh, and the older gay couple who run the tree nursery and garden supply shop the next village over. I'm pretty sure they're Democrats, though I guess you never know.)
It's interesting to read about people taking a nature vacation in an area like this, because it's really easy to get jaded. When I first came up here to visit my dad, I was blown away by the natural beauty. Now, I don't even see it most of the time.
If I were to take a vacation, I'd probably want to spend a week or two in a big city.
Perspective! I guess the real lesson is that I should look around me a little bit more and appreciate where I'm at.
