Your story is reminding me of another story I've been following. For about the past year, I've been sort of fantasizing and living vicariously by following (on YouTube ) the lives of people who have sold their homes to buy sailboats and travel around the globe.

I'm thinking about a couple with five boys (5! boys! From 3 years old to 13. Can you imagine?) who made their way from Florida across the Caribbean all the way to Panama, and who are now hanging out at various beautiful anchorages until they transit the canal to cross to the South Pacific.

Mom mostly narrates the 15 to 20-minute weekly videos, and let me tell you, she sounds so much like you in this story.

She's thrilled about the experiences they're having, mostly. But one thing she said recently is that all of the problems their family started with are still their problems. Living on a boat (and fixing their boat in exotic locations) didn't solve any of their problems.

If you're going to make big life changes, she advised, don't make them because you think they're going to fix you. Make them because you're following your heart and doing what you truly want to do.

She and her husband have to figure out if they are truly following their hearts before they cross the canal, a very expensive proposition, and a fairly permanent step.
