Your experience is so inexplicably awful. I've been frisked any number of times over my lifetime, at airports, for whatever random reason, in the United States and abroad.

Nobody has ever put their hands on my genitals. Not one time. Not ever.

Yet we see constant reports like this from transgender people at US airports. It's unconscionable.

What makes it worse is that simple solutions could be put in place to make this stop. The TSA knows about the problem, and they know what simple solutions they could put into place, but they will not do it.

Shame on these employees, but mostly shame on their managers for allowing sexual assault to continue to take place on a regular basis.

We should be better than this as a nation. None of us deserve to be treated like this by agents of the state.
