You'll have to ask Black trans people why they don't support Chapelle. I think the woman who wrote the column I referred you to explained clearly and powerfully why she doesn't. I don't suppose all Black trans people are the same, though. Looking up statistics about high levels of violence committed against Black trans women may help provide some of the explanation.
