A lawyer for the district implied that some reports have been based on “rumors,” though the school principals who attended the meeting that local journalists based initial reports on say they accurately told reporters what they understood.
But in any case, the district seems to be feeling some heat, and final guidance may be less harmful than initial reports indicated. But there’s no question that great harm will be done.
