You sound exactly like those people who say “not all men” and “not all white people” with respect to rape culture and racism.

The point is that according to Pew and PRRI, the vast majority of Christians in the United States oppose LGBTQ equality. Almost every dime being spent on the successful fight to roll back LGBTQ civil equality is coming from Christian churches and associations.

You personally deciding that some Christians aren’t actually Christians doesn’t change that reality at all. We LGBTQ people have boots in our necks grinding us into the dirt. The people wearing those boots belong to and lead the must influential and respected Christian churches in the United States.

You and Bebe Nicholson can decide to ignore that and pretend it doesn’t matter, but it DOES matter. Especially when it’s your neck under the boot.
