You remind me that Pope Francis and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby have both declared (recently, repeatedly and once even together) to African audiences that their churches have always believed gay people are sinful and will always believe that.

Yes, they asked people not to put us in prison or kill us, but what do they suppose their religious condemnation will lead to? They're both too smart to suffer from any kind of delusion in that respect. But they did it anyway, and they're going to continue to do it.

And that's another reason I write this article. I despair at the abject evil of traditional Christianity.
