You raise a very interesting point about accreditation. I’m no expert, but I’m thinking self-governing accreditation associations handle degree-granting powers?

It would be worth thinking about lobbying them to pull the accreditation of schools who mistreat LGBTQ people.

For example, I wrote a few months ago about a Christian university with a nursing program that accepted an RN for nurse anesthetist training then withdrew their offer after they discovered he was married to a man.

I can’t imagine the association that acredits nursing programs is down with that. It should have to be part of their consideration for accrediting the program.

That’s an avenue worth exploring!
