You know, when I first started encountering trans coming-out stories on Medium, and then later with Prism & Pen, I was struck by how many late-transitioning trans women reported staying in healthy relationships with their wives. I was surprised, I guess, because I wouldn't have considered that would be a common phenomenon.
Shows what assumptions can do!
But I'm really glad to read your story about what sounds like a healthy separation.
Not that it was without pain for either of you! But I appreciate how hard this must have been for you to write, not to mention experience. I can only imagine that the details you're sharing have to be important for other people contemplating your road.
Thank you very much for the story!
