You know what would have really been fun? Transcribing that conversation as it actually happened. With French and English mixed liberally together. Brent used to choose his words from either language depending on which vocabulary he was most familiar with.

Technically, he identified as an Anglophone, but almost all of his peers and the kids he hung out with were Francophones, so he’d often know a word in French and not know what its counterpart was in English.

I found this amusing.

He didn’t chuckle over it as much as I did, though. ;-)
