You know what I miss about the shared experience of TV? The communal nature of it when all we had was three networks plus PBS. The intimate experiences you describe spiderwebbed in networks that stretched across the entire United States (and further) and created shared cultural moments that brought us together.

I know that happens a little bit still today, but it’s nothing like it was. I wonder if that’s why I’ve lost interest? I don’t know.
