You know, this is something I think many gay men sort of 'get' on a deep level.

We’re accustomed to the idea that sexual preferences in bed rarely if ever translate into how we behave or expect to be treated when we aren’t having sex.

Isn’t this one if the Patriarchy’s most insidious constructs? That sexual roles translate to social ones? And that people taking a receptive or submissive role in sex must be submissive or even inferior in general?
