You know, something tells me he probably wasn't actually joking. Trans people already ARE in camps in Kenya. The notorious Kakuma camp is technically a UNHCR refugee camp, but it's a hellhole.

Gay and trans people from all over East Africa fill the camp, fleeing from persecution like in Uganda.

LGBTQ residents at Kakuma don't have enough to eat, don't have anything resembling sufficient medical care, and they report daily beatings by UN camp staff and non-queer refugees. Death is frequent, a result of neglect and brutal treatment.

Why do they stay?

Because the conditions outside the camp, in many ways engineered by U.S. Christians who that ex-Fox host praises all the time, are even worse.

American Christian groups have spent over 75 million dollars in recent years encouraging brutal anti-LGBTQ laws in Africa and spreading brutal anti-queer hatred.

They are showing us what they will do in the US given half a chance.
