You know, out here in the Midwest, hardly anybody has even heard about the longshoreman strike. I don't think too many people realize how it has the potential to almost shut down the US economy.

I went to the grocery store a couple days ago and didn't notice any shortages of anything. I'm glad the strike is at least temporarily over, and I hope to get everything ironed out by January.

The longshoremen deserve the pay benefits increases that they're demanding, and they're being remarkably responsible in how they're going about it.

Let's hope our fellow Americans show some solidarity to workers!
