You know, I wrote this piece before I knew that Justin Welby made that infamous speech in which he affirmed that gay sex is a sin. When I read his words I cursed as loudly as I could. I can't believe he had the audacity to morally condemn us like that. What a vicious piece of shit.

He made it very clear where he stands with respect to LGBTQ people. He has morally condemned us all.

It's hard for me to now imagine how any LGBTQ or LGBTQ-allied Anglican can now exist in the institution he leads.

How dare he give a speech on human dignity? He's the one who uninvited the spouses of LGBTQ bishops from Lambeth. He ripped the dignity from those spouses and from those bishops. He announced in word and deed that they lack coequal dignity with other human beings in the Church.

You say he lacks awareness of what he's doing? That he's ignorant?

That's you trying to feel better about about the moral compromises you're making as an LGBTQ Anglican.

If Welby's not aware of what a monster Justin Badi is, how he uses his religious post to push for state persecution of LGBTQ people, then Welby needs to resign for being incompetent.

Almost everyone even casually informed about LGBTQ matters in Africa knows it, so how does Welby not know it? He would have had to close his eyes and put his fingers in his ears NOT to know what a disgusting piece of shit Justin Badi is.

Welby clearly isn't following the teachings of jesus, and he's clearly willing to morally compromise himself by advancing the positions of a monster working to strip the human rights of LGBTQ people not only in the country where he lives but elsewhere in Africa.

Morally, from a human rights perspective, and as a Jesus follower, Welby should be fighting Badi, working as hard as he can to defeat him and to protect persecuted human beings.

Instead, Welby has allied himself and the Anglican Communion with Badi, even going so far as to personally affirm our sinfulness.

To say that jaws are dropping in horror around the world, and that Anglicans in North America are thoroughly disgusted, is not to say enough.

Lambeth this year has been a complete moral debacle, with the Archbishop of Canterbury clearly and powerfully declaring for the forces of hatred and bigotry.
