You know, I had never thought of men not having book clubs, but it’s kind of true. At least for straight men. I have often belonged to men’s book clubs or at least to book clubs that were comprised mostly of men. But in almost every case, almost all the members were gay men.

Obviously, I can’t know if my experience applies across the board, but it is a very interesting question.

Some of the most delightful kind of mind expanding books that I have ever read have been because of the book clubs I belonged to. With members recommending things I might not have chosen on my own, I have discovered some real gems.
