You know, back in the Stone Ages when I was a young Marine Corps recruit, the Corps was an unofficial (and definitely not approved by the powers that be) haven for lesbians. A hugely disproportionate number of the WMs (women Marines) I knew were gay. It was an open secret, and as long as they weren't out loud and proud about it, they didn't have too many problems.

But man! You should have heard some of the guys diss them and give them shit for how masculine they looked. Misogyny in action. Exactly the stuff I learned only short years later the queer movement was fighting against. Feminists were fighting against.

And now? We have people who call themselves feminists doing exactly the same kind of mocking shit to women based on the fact that they don't look feminine enough for the mockers.

It's perverse. Who the hell do these so-called feminists even think they are? This isn't feminism, it's misogyny.

It's being cruel to women who don't live up to the gender expectations of the patriarchy – all powered by the visceral hatred of transphobia.

It's awful to see, and it's more awful that it is so common that if you have anything to do with transgender issues, you see it constantly, every day, every hour, almost every minute.
