You hear about this sometimes, about an author who owes a lot of his success to an assistant doing most of the writing. James Patterson has actually made an industry of it! (Of course, he's honest about it, and his writing "assistants" seem to like the arrangement too.)

I can only imagine the despair a writer would feel if somebody successfully stole their work. *shudder*
