You have a lot more guts than I do! I I speak and understand French very well. I read complex French novels for pleasure, I watch films without subtitles, and I go to parties and make small talk with ease.

But I’m scared to death to write in French, because I know I would not come off as well educated and native in proficiency.

That’s just vanity, of course, but it’s hard to overcome.

You have all my respect for daring what I have not dared.
