You don't, I read yesterday that the Vatican finally responded to the so-called controversy about the opening ceremonies. Plenty of individual priests and bishops had already condemned The supposed to recreation of the Last Supper blasphemy.

I can't even wrap my mind around that. But by the time the Vatican commented, it had already become clear that the performance art was more about celebrating Dionysus and ancient Greek culture than criticizing or commenting on Christianity.

Nevertheless, the Vatican harshly condemned the perform.

What hypocrites!

I'm reminded that twice within 2 weeks, and very recently, Pope Francis used vicious homophobic language to describe gay candidates for the priesthood. He did it behind closed doors, but reports came out anyway.

He did not apologize. He did not take back his policy that gay men are unfit to train for the priesthood.

He called us the Italian equivalent of faggots!

The Catholic Church officially calls us depraved and disordered.

Well, I have a message for those Catholic priests and any other Catholic person who doesn't like queer people using art as commentary about Christianity:

Kiss my hairy gay ass, you disgusting homophobic pigs! I am not a faggot! I am not depraved! I am not disordered!

And I have as much right to comment on the art history of my culture as anyone. All of us queer people do!

You disgusting, hypocritical, homophobic, depraved monsters!
