You can say that again! When my family moved to Alabama when I was a child because my father got a job pastoring a church there, I met women who belong to Daughters of the Conferacy. Several of them were married to deacons in our church.

While the wives were sponsoring arts and crafts projects to honor such lovely (my sarcasm) American heroes as Robert e Lee and Jefferson Davis, the husbands were trying to force my dad to stop letting Black children attend our church.

Make no mistake, the Daughters of the Confederacy were and remain disgusting racist monsters.
