Yes! You know, The FBI released its annual report on hate crimes a few days ago, and once again, rates have increased significantly, as they have every year since 2016. Racist incidents increased again and so did violence against LGBTQ people. The largest total increase in that category was violence based on perceived sexual orientation, but the largest increase proportionately was violence based on perceived gender identity.
To put it in perspective, almost 3,000 people in the United States were beaten up or otherwise physically assaulted last year because they were LGBTQ, an increase of a couple hundred over the previous year.
