By the way, do you have a reference to goluboy (forgive my non-existent transliteration skills) not becoming slang for gay until fairly recently? I didn't know that. I know I encountered it as a slur in the wild as early as the early 1980s, and I guess I just assumed it was an ingrained part of the culture. Evidently not as much as I thought!
