Yes, there are a lot of haters out there. But one thing I probably should have mentioned in the article is that mainstream LGBTQ organizations in the United States are very trans supportive and trans-inclusive in leadership. The "LGB without a T" movement is over loud and obnoxious, but it remains for now quite a small (but worrying) minority.
