Yes, the African bishops are such cruel, demonic men that I cannot imagine any genuine Jesus follower wanting to be part of an organization they dictate to … like they clearly dictate to Welby, who obviously cares more about what they say than what Jesus taught. I’m certain Jesus did not command his followers to love their neighbors unless doing so became inconvenient in terms of organizational politics — in terms of placating men who hate their neighbors and work to have them thrown in prison over who they love.

I cannot imagine how Justin Welby can square being a Christian with affirming and supporting the cruelty and plain evil of those hate-filled African and Caribbean bishops.

I know this: I’ve been talking to American and Canadian Anglicans who are starting to say (particularly after Welby’s sin speech at Lambeth where he branded all of us LGBTQ people as immoral) that if being Anglican means being part of Justin Welby’s Church, they would rather not be Anglicans. They see being Christian (in their loving, Jesus-following definition) as infinitely more important. They say they are beginning to sincerely believe Welby does not deserve the title of Christian and that remaining under his evil leadership is rapidly becoming too spiritually toxic to tolerate.
