Yes, that's why I almost never say "LGBTQ community" We are a collection of intersecting communities with many shared interests. I almost always write "LGBTQ people" instead, to emphasize our individual natures and recognize our diversity.

I'm preparing a story now, for the current P&P prompt, about a gender-noncomforming friend of mine from way back. Gender-noncomformity (in presentation as well as identity) is something we need to recognize and celebrate more, I think.
