Yes! Incredibly, some studies show that medication-compliant HIV-positive folks today actually enjoy a small but measurable increase in life expectancy, probably because of more frequent contact with medical providers and the regular bloodwork they need to have their meds prescribed.

Lots of caveats apply, of course. Being positive is no walk in the park. But what a long way we’ve come!
