Yes, I'm not urging people to not defend themselves or someone else in the face of imminent violence. I'm just saying we need to be very careful not to resort to violence and hate speech ourselves. We can win popular sentiment to our side, keep it on our side and many respects, but we have to be especially careful not to look like the people who are hating on us.
