Yes! I wrote a story several years ago,
before the current anti-trans moral panic had reached its peak. I quoted police officials from a dozen major North American cities who expressed astonishment that trans women or men posing as trans women are a danger to women in public restrooms.

All of them claimed to have never even heard of such a thing, citing zero instances of such reported violence.

Now, I'm not generally one to support the police. In the United States, police culture is overwhelmingly toxic and violent. But I think it's worth noting that even senior police officials don't understand where these anti-trans ideas are coming from.

If this danger were real, these police officials would be among the first people to see it.
