Yes, I think you make a good point, but I also think that if some of the guys in that locker room thought women found them attractive, they wouldn’t scurry out. They’d flaunt, pose, and strut.

You know, the truth of the matter is that I do find men in locker rooms attractive sometimes. (I mean, obviously, right?) But as a guy, I’ve spent my life surrounded by attractive guys. It’s my normal. It’s no big deal.

I grew up internalizing that most men would never have any sexual interest in me. And now that I’m almost 60 years old, that problem has magnified. 🤣

But straight men routinely act as if they feel threatened anyway. I’m sorry, but I find that attitude childish. So what if I find somebody in a locker room attractive?

This reminds me that when I lived in Germany as a young man, I often went to a spa where nudity was the rule in a mixed-sex environment. I dare say most of the men in the pools and saunas there never felt threatened when women found them attractive.

So the question is, why should straight men feel threatened when gay men find them attractive?

I don’t get it, but I guess I don’t have to.
