Yes, I found the movie mostly silly and full of holes. It was so difficult to suspend disbelief at times, that I really didn't enjoy it. I spent too much time rolling my eyes.

But! One good thing that came of it is that I read the novel, which I enjoyed immensely. I don't think it's a great work of literature or anything, but it was a really cool read, that inspired as well as entertained.

If only the film could have lived up to that!
