Yes, I can see how people might look at this as a back of the bus situation. In some ways, it is. On the other hand, the Taylor Pride float was featured in the official city parade, even though that parade kicked off second.

But city leaders were likely advised that denying a permit for public assembly would have exposed the city to serious risk of lawsuits and expensive legal damages.
Ultimately, the people of Taylor spoke up to reject exclusion — by supporting the official city parade and cheering for Taylor Pride.
