Yep, getting historical detail right is important. It would have been so cool to see Ann wearing a necklace looked like the real thing.

I hate seeing movie makers get easy details wrong.

I wrote just the other day about this epic biopic coming out about Leonardo da Vinci.

The filmmakers decided they couldn’t succeed with an authentic story about a famous artist who by all accounts didn’t have a straight bone in his body. So they made up a woman lover for him, in a move historians are saying is laughably wrong. The heterosexual affair the biopic features is pure fiction.

But people all over the world are going to think it’s true. Sigh.
