Yeah, the story is a little hard to follow but it sounds like Hasbro might have courted outrage. If I understand correctly, which is no given, they intended from the beginning to rebrand the product line as Potato Head while not changing the names of the Mr and Mrs versions of the (doll?). Just as an aside, do you call potatoes dolls?

Whatever Hasbro is doing, it evidently worked. I mean, here we are talking about potato heads, which if you had asked me a couple days ago I would have assured you was nowhere on my agenda.

Nothing like a little wacko conservative outrage to stir the pot.
