Yeah, I’m working on demonstrating the power dynamics and the lack of agency on the part of the kids in the program.

Some kids in similar situations rebel and suffer trauma for it in the process. Ironically, those kids often emerge relatively unscathed.

While they undergo a lot of stress and direct harm as a result of their resistance, their later outcomes are better in terms of mental health.

Sadly, most kids in these programs don’t resist. They succomb to the power dynamic differential and never develop the agency to subvert the indoctrination.

Their outcomes are usually not at all good.

But how we Caleb do?
