Yeah, I guess maybe what confused me is that I don’t think of “crazy” as being the opposite of normal, which I am indeed using more as a synonym of “typical.” I’m neuro-atypical myself as person with autism. I’m also recently physically disabled, suffering from rather bad chronic pain and loss of mobility.
So, you know, I’m not “normal” in the sense that I’m not like most people who don’t have autism and don’t have trouble walking. But I’m not crazy and don’t mean that I am when I say I’m not normal.
I guess I just have a bit of a problem accepting that the opposite of normal is (or should be assumed to be) crazy.
