Yes! I'm thinking about the Parasol Patrol, which formed three or four years ago to act as a loving shield for queer people and families faced with Proud Boy protests and militia activity at libraries, restaurants, community centers, and queer bars.

The Patrol surround the venue being attacked and hold up their rainbow umbrellas to make the protestors invisible -- as they sing or play music to make them inaudible.
