Wow, what an incredible story and what vivid storytelling!

Sadly, you remind me too well of storytelling I hear often from a close friend who lives in Kolkata and who has to put up with and struggle against quite similar sexist traditions.

They are, like you, a very strong person, but the consequences to their health and well-being have been dire.
