Wow, that’s just amazing. A lifetime ago, I was an Air Force intelligence officer. I chose not to pursue a career in national security after my service, because it would have meant staying in the closet, constantly worrying about my security clearance being pulled.

I needed to be out, shining a light as you put it. So, I changed career tracks entirely.

That you can now start an organization for LGBTQ people in the national security sphere is amazing, and shows how far we’ve come.

But too many kids are still growing up full of shame! I join your call for transparency, light, examples, and role models.
