Wow, thanks for that insight. While I understood that distributed cloud services played a huge role in contemporary Internet applications, I guess I didn’t realize how pervasive it had become.

Having once worked with co-location and remote server administration (in what feels like a lifetime ago), I am interested and a little surprised to learn that such things no longer happen.
