Wow, I’m not much of a music person, but I’ve always liked this song. I’m terrible and understanding lyrics, though. Often I have to read the lyrics to a song before I can understand them all.

I’m so glad you pointed this out, because I had no idea the song celebrates the infamous racist George Wallace.

He’s pretty much universally reviled these days, and we certainly should not be promoting music that celebrates him.
