With more than 75% of American Catholics disagreeing with the Church’s stands on LGBTQ people, women, and planned reproduction, it seems like the American Church ought to be taking the lead in forcing change on the Church. Sadly, that doesn’t appear to be happening.

And just last week, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops came out forcefully against the federal LGBT Equality Act. Once again, they’re going to be spending American Catholics’ money to oppose banning discrimination in employment and housing.

It’s time for American Catholics to starve the bishops of the money they’re using to hurt people.
