Why, thank you so much. I’ll graciously accept the compliments on the writing, given I worked hard on it. As for the photography, while I will accept that a couple of the shots I included in the story are fairly decent, I can assure you that is entirely by accident.

I take thousands of photos of birds and other animals, and every once in a blue moon one of them comes out okay. I’m afraid I know almost nothing about photography, though I wish I did.

I can barely work the Canon DSLR I used to get these shots. All credit goes to its beautiful lenses and remarkably intelligent automatic settings. Because God knows I don’t know how to adjust them manually! 🤣
