Why should your question even matter to me? Why should I, as a gay man, care if gay people in some other nations are treated generally better than gay people in the United States?
Why should I NOT focus on how gay and other LGBTQ people are treated here where I live? Your question is a classic example of “whataboutery” or “whataboutism.” It’s a method of diverting attention from something negative by pointing at other, worse negative things, elsewhere.
I could give you some answers about how certain nations have laws and policies that are more inclusive toward LGBTQ people than parts of the United States, but I will not do that. Because conditions abroad have literally nothing to say about conditions here.
If you cannot or will not understand that, then you are either stupid or evil.
