While I appreciate your attempt to be even-handed, Dayon, a lot of trans people, especially trans women, are more than just a little upset with Chapelle for pushing stereotypes and normalizing pretty awful stuff. They aren't just tired of his humor, they're angry that he's making their lives harder.

He clearly doesn't know much about trans people, and neither (with all due respect) do you. I only say that because your own story is peppered with stuff that would make trans people mad if they read it.

I'm not mad, and it's not my place to speak for trans people, especially Black trans women, who Chapelle doesn't seem to know are a huge and important part of the LGBTQ world. Maybe he should watch Pose?
