When I became an “insta-dad” to a boy who’d just turned 14, I was in for a rude awakening. While the experience was overwhelmingly positive for both of us, did I ever have a lot to learn about patience and tolerance.

Kids are going to be kids, and while we’d love for them to be angels all the time, we know we’re not doing them any favors if we use fear to suppress them.

Deep breaths, mom. :-) Most of us aren’t judging, even if your troupe is causing us to grimace a bit. lol
