What’s worse is that people outside LGBTQ communities don’t care. The mayor is not experiencing broad pushback. On Twitter, where I have a large progressive Democratic following, I can barely get a response to the this story. Can’t buy a retweet. If a Republican mayor were doing this, outraged resistance would be de rigueur. But since Adams is a Democrat, we’re apparently supposed to be good little faggots and T words and shut our mouths. This is exactly the nightmare.
